Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation W52H09-09-T-0050; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-27, effective 17 October 2008. This RFQ is issued using Commercial Item Acquisition Procedures pursuant to FAR part 12, and Simplified Acquisition Procedures pursuant to FAR part 13. This requirement is for 50 each 10X50MM Binoculars. Specifications: 1. Waterproof up to 1 meter 2. Long eye-relief for viewing with or without glasses 3. Mechanical focus lock 4. Diopter adjustment to lock in right eyepiece diopter setting 5. Rugged construction to protect the internal optical and mechanical systems, coated for non-slip 6. Coating: a. Lens: Full multi-coating b. Prism: Multi-coating 7. Magnification: 10X50 8. Objective Lens Diameter: 50 mm 9. Relative Brightness: 25 10. Diopter Adjustment Range: +/- 2 m -1 11. Diopter Adjustment: Right diopter ring 12. Eyepiece Ring: Helicoid type 13. Body Color: Black 14. Weight: less than 40 oz. 15. Each Binocular should include Objective lens caps, eyepiece lens caps, and neck strap. All items must be produced within the United States. Inspection and acceptance will be at Origin and delivery at FOB Origin. The Ship to and Mark for addresses will be provided at time of award.
