Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlanticintends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the design, development,and production of the Triple Battery Power Units (TBPU) for the Tactical RemoteSensor Systems System-of-Systems (TRSS SOS). The purpose to the TBPU isto provide 12 Volts Direct Current (VDC) power from various TRSS sensors andremote devices. The TBPU will provide the ability to power equipment longerthan current capabilities. These TBPU will be used in various locations underallenvironmental conditions. A draft performance based statement is attached. The Government anticipates award of a Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery,Indefinite Quantity, Performance-Based type contract with a base year plus twoone-year options. This procurement will be conducted as a Small Business Set-Aside competition. The NAICS Code is 335999, with a size standard of 500employees. The estimated release date for the RFP is on or about 20December 2008. It is the offerors' responsibility to monitor this site for therelease of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors willberesponsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation andamendments. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurementwill be available over the Internet at the following SPAWARSYSCEN CharlestonWEBSITE address: http://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil. No paper distributionof these documents will be provided. The anticipated award date of the subjectcontract is scheduled for February 2009.
