Description
This is a special notice not a request for either a quote, proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to obtain industry comments and knowledge only for the purpose of assessing the availability of qualified sources. The 5th Contracting Squadron, Minot AFB ND is seeking sources for Repair of B-52 Electronic Countermeasure System. The NAICS code is 334511. This procurement may be unrestricted. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the Fed Biz Ops. No solicitation is currently available. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for future synopsis/solicitation as they will not be notified. The contractor would be responsible for providing contract field engineering service is to provide equipment checkout, troubleshooting, engineering analysis of suspected failures, and limited repair of failed prime mission equipment and to provide Air Force maintenance personnel engineering support for checkout and repair of the related support equipment. Additionally the contractor personnel shall provide technical guidance and engineering services in the evaluation of unusual field problems and render emergency technical advice related to the AN/ALQ-172(V) systems. The contractor shall perform engineering analysis to confirm failures prior to return to the depot maintenance facility, with the goal of reducing the number of CND actions. Offerors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirement are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought including commercial market information and company information via e-mail or facsimile (701-723-4172) to Angie Klein at angela.klein@minot.af.mil or no later than 26 Nov 2008. RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. This notice is to assist the 5th Contracting Squadron, Minot AFB ND in determining potential sources only. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this notice.
