- FOR A COPY OF THE Request For Proposal (RFP), Email Todd Mathie at tmathie@fs.fed.us and a copy of the RFP will be emailed to you. The US Forest Service is interested in conducting a study to develop signage guidelines for motorized trails. The purpose of the study is to determine appropriate sign size, sign height, reflective sign material, and how far away the sign should be placed from a hazard to warn and instruct the rider to take an appropriate action under various climatic and environmental conditions. This will be done by determining reaction time of riders and stopping distances for OHVs under various physical conditions of the trail and human influences. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26, effective June 12, 2008. FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions – Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors – Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications – Commercial Items, with your offer (not part of page limit for proposal).
