- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Acquisition Center intends to contract on a sole-source basis with First DataBank, Inc. (FDB), for a subscription to their comprehensive pharmacy drug database. This acquisition is a follow-on to an earlier competitive procurement for a development contract which selected the FDB product as the data source. VA has determined that currently only one responsible source can satisfy the agency requirements. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1). Type of contract is a firm-fixed price contract. NAICS Code 519120 and Small Business Size Standard $7.0M apply to this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest to respond to this requirement by 2:30 p.m., December 3, 2008. A determination by the Department of Veterans Affairs not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
