- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, PA proposes to procure one hundred (100) Vibrator Cores. This is a refurbishment and repair part for The Sample Detection Assembly (SDA) of the Model ET-35N Oil Content Monitor (OCM). We intend to negotiate on a sole source basis with Advanced Marine Technology Inc., 8 Crown Plaza Unit #107 Hazlet, NJ 07730-2441. The Model ET-35N OCM is manufactured using components from Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Inc. Advanced Marine is the onl! y licensed distributor of Model ET-35N OCM components that we are aware of in the United States. Delivery should occur on or about 16 January 2009. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304 (c)(1). Numbered Note 22 applies. The Request for Quotation will be available to download from FEDBIZZOPPS or NECO.Navy.mil on or after 26 November 2008. The RFQ will be available electronically - no hard copies will be sent. All questions must be in writing to nathan.a.quinn@navy.mil.
