- The Air Force is continuing to prepare for the Fee-For-Service Aerial Refueling (FFS AR) Pilot Program that is part of the FY08 National Defense Authorization Act. This notice is provided as a "heads up" to inform industry of a forthcoming update to this Special Notice announcing a FFS AR Industry Day at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base the week of 15 December 2008. This Industry Day is a market research tool to address the proposed Concept of Employment (CONEMP) for the Pilot Program as well as to determine the commercial availability and adequacy of potential sources, and will be used to determine the basis for any acquisition strategy. The acquisition strategy/plan has not been finalized. Further details regarding this upcoming Industry Day will be posted in the near future as an update to this notice. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or commitment of any kind. The Government will not reimburse interested sources or responders to this notice (or to documents posted under this announcement) for any costs incurred in responding, or for subsequent exchanges of information. Information submitted does not constitute a proposal, but will be considered an exchange of capabilities and ideas. Any further updates to this activity will be posted to this website.
