- FED BIZ OPPS PREP:PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ENTRY FORM Submission Date: 11/21/2008Response Date: 12/3/2008 Classification: C -ARCHITECT AND ENGINEERING SERVICES-CONSTRUCTION. Solicitation: Pre-solicitation Notice Subject: A/E Design Services for Community Living Center. Description The Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for firms that are certified under the following programs: SDVOSB, located within 100 miles of the Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with an approved NAICS Code 541330. To Provide Professional Engineering services to prepare the schematic drawings, schematic program submission, preliminary drawings, working drawings, specifications, including asbestos abatement documents, and cost estimates. The project is for the new construction of a (4) Building Assisted Community Living Center for Veteran patients. Each pod would consist of 10 beds for a total of 40 beds. Three pods would be strictly for Palliative Care and LTC needs, with one pod for OIF/EIF. Construction can be accomplished in phases of two houses per phase. Groups of two houses works best for the concept so each can share the Courtyard. Work includes the site demolition and preparation, roads, site work concrete, site utilities, piping/ductwork/flooring/ceiling, duct insulation, floor tile, etc., architectural, mechanical, equipment, furnishings, elevators, and electrical work. All design and installation will be in accordance with current VAMC elevator and CLC design guides, Handbook 7610, NEC, NFPA, state, local, and all VA and federal codes. In addition, incorporate new signage in accordance with the VA signage manuals, details, etc. found at www.va.gov/facmgt/standard/signage.htm. Provide energy savings equipment and design modifications for current energy usage to the most efficient and economical level possible.
