- Description
- General: This project will replace and upgrade the fire alarm systems in the original section of Building 47 at the VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. It includes, but is not limited to, the electrical installation associated with upgrading and replacing wiring, conduit, smoke detectors, pull stations, and flow switches. The project will replace existing Fire Alarm Panels to new addressable panels and all associated programming. New system must match that of the existing addressable Simplex system in the Ambulatory Care Clinical Addition, which is approximately one quarter the amount of total building space. Project Time Frame: 60 days for bond, submittals, mobilization. Estimated length of construction is 270 days. (b) SCOPE OF WORK: Construction Services: As described above and in accordance with professionally developed construction drawings and specifications. (specs and plans on FBO web site for download) (c) Place of Performance: Tasks will be performed at the VAMC Asheville, NC. Work will take place in a 24 hour occupied building with great care being taken around staff work sites and around patient areas. NOTE A COMPLETE SET OF SPECS AND PLANS WILL BE ISSUED WITH THE SOLICITATION
