- This is a Special Notice is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). It is not a solicitation! Therefore, please do not request a copy of the solicitation as none is available at this time. Also, please do not submit a quote or proposal and do not request to be added to a "Bidder's List." This RFI solicits comments on a draft Statement of Objectives (SOO) related to a longitudnal cohort study which seeks to research the long term health effects among approximately 4,700 children resulting from various indoor exposures to formaldehyde in FEMA-issued temporary housing units (THU) in Hurricane Katrina-affected areas. The SOO includes a draft Protocol provided for comments. Additionally, the Government also solicits comments on draft evaluation criteria which may be used to evaluate proposals once a solicitation is released. The draft documents are provided as.pdf files attached to this RFI. Comments are also sought on the selection of the applicable NAICS code for the contemplated cohort study. Presently, the NAICS code is 541990 -- All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services. When submitting comments, please explain the reason for any suggested changes and the anticipated benefits or advantages for such changes. If commenting on more than one topic, please organize comments according to the applicable four topics: 1. SOO 2. Protocol 3. Evaluation Criteria 4. NAICS code Page limit: 15 Submit comments in.doc file format via email to the contracting officer at: FTG7@cdc.gov All comments are due not later than the response date and time stipulated in the Special Notice.
