- NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the followingCommercial item/services: Land Mobile Radio Maintenance The Land Mobile Radio (LMR) System is used by the National Aeronautics and SpaceAdministration (NASA)/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) at Wallops Flight Facility(WFF)to support emergency preparedness communications requirements in addition to routineday-to-day mission, logistics, safety, security, environmental, mechanical, informationservices, facilities and communications needs.The WFF LMR system is a M/A-Com/Tyco-Electronics trunked, narrow band VHF, multi-site Enhanced Digital AccessCommunication System (EDACS). The WFF LMR system consist of an integrated multi-sitecontroller ( IMC), communication system director (CSD) server, CSD workstation, three C3 maestro dispatch consoles, Nice Call Focus logging recorder, and two 5 channelsites (multi-site) MASTR III trunking stations. The system infrastructure does notinclude end user radios such as: handhelds/portable, mobiles, and desktop radios.- Provider must be a certified M/A-Com/Tyco-Electronics Authorized service provider fora multi-site trunked enhanced digital access communication system. Proof ofcertification shall be provided within the proposal package.- Available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year. - 2 hour response time to LMR problems this means on-site within 2 hours.- Monitor WFF LMR alarms remotely.The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 811211 and $5M, respectively. The anticipated release date of RFP NNG09275220Q is on or about December 22, 2008 with ananticipated quotation due date of on or about January 12, 2009.All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application.
