- This synopsis is to Convert the A/C system, 25 IS Bldg 90760 located at Hurlburt Field FL, project FTEV 07-1200. The general work includes conversion of the direct expansion A/C system to chilled water in the entire facility. It includes a 40 ton chiller, 2 computer room units, a 100 gpm pump, VFD piping and insulation, controls, architectural, and all necessary electrical work. The contractor shall replace air handlers and duct work as required. The work shall be fully complete in accordance with the contract documents. Hurlburt Field is an Air Force installation that is located in the Florida Panhandle mid-way between Panama City, Florida and Pensacola. This is acquisition will be set aside for HUB-Zone offerors only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 with a size standard of $13M. This contract will be a “Price Performance Trade-Off” contract; award will be made based on the “Best Value” to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is 167 calendar days. This is an unrestricted acquisition. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten(10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 8 Dec 08. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. This solicitation will be available ONLY via the Internet at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov.
