Description
This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. National Institute on Drug Abuse, Office of Acquisitions- Neurosciences, Station Support/Simplified Acquisition, on behalf of the National Institute on Aging (NIA) intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to Global Telemedicine Technologies, Inc., 800 Hampton Drive, Building B, Venice, California, for Holter monitoring data processing. The Holter monitors are medical devices that record continuous activity of the heart. In the Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging (BLSA), 24-hour Holter monitors were implemented to measure the variability in time between successive normal beats, or the normal-to-normal intervals. The NIA uses this information to provide objective assessments of autonomic nervous system function, known as heart rate variability. The contractor will scan the 825 24-hour Holter monitors, manually review and edit HRV analyses, report clinical findings and deliver written and electronic copies of the reports. Period of performance is one year. The contractor provides a proprietary system, DelMar Impresario, which will provide data and reports to meet the needs of the BLSA. This system will provide consistent data collection and reporting during the BLSA. The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition using FAR 13 procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing synopsis number NOI805392 may be submitted to the NIDA, Station Support/Simplified Acquisition Branch, 31 Center Drive, Bldg 31, Room 1B59, Bethesda, MD 20892-2080, and Attention: Susan Nsangou, Contracting Officer.
