- A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project: AFR Training Facility at Buckley Air Force Base, CO. The facility is adequately sized and functionally configured facility to satisfy all training requirements, storage, and administrative requirements for the group. Group includes Medical Squadron, Logistics Readiness Element, Services Flight, Civil Engineering Readiness. Reinforced concrete foundations and concrete floor slab, structural steel frames, split-face masonry unit walls, standing seam metal roof, fire detection/protection system, utilities, communications, pavements, landscaping and necessary support. Project includes antiterrorism/force protection requirements identified in DoD unified facilities criteria and all necessary support. Air conditioning: 130 Tons. Contract duration is approximately 500 days and the estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 according to the FAR. The actual project cost is closer to $5,000,000. NAICS is 236220. Size limitation is $31.0M. All interested Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should notify this office in writing by mail on or before December 10, 2008 by 2:00 pm Eastern Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification or verification of the company by the Small Business Administration, as either certified HUBZone, certified 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project, (3) Past Experience - Provide descriptions of projects substantially complete or completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include office complexes, schools, vehicle maintenance shops, and warehouses. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and size of the project, the portion and percentage of work that was self performed, whether the project was design/build or not, and a description of how the experience relates to the proposed project.
