- Western Regional Contracting Office intends to solicit as a 100% small business set-aside for Teleradiology Services at Bassett Army Community Hospital (BACH), Fort Wainwright, Alaska, with a base period of on or about 1 February 2009 through 31 January 2010 and four subsequent option years. NAICS Code for this requirement is 621512, Diagnostic Imaging Centers, with a size standard of $12.5 million. Contractor shall provide off-site radiological interpretations for routine non-emergency daytime and routine and emergency after-hours coverage via teleradiology and transcribe all reports into the universal military Composite Healthcare System (CHCS) at BACH. Services shall be performed by using secure broadband connections to transmit radiology images and data between BACH and Contractor facility. The Contractor shall determine the number of radiologists required to perform the services and meet the standards in this contract. Contract physicians shall be of a quality meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the Joint Commission, the standards of the American Hospital Association, American Board of Radiology, and the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology. In addition, physicians shall be certified by the Food and Drug Administration (mammography purposes). Any contract service provider (i.e., Radiologist) that is proposed to interpret/diagnose films under any contract resulting from this solicitation shall have and maintain a current, active, valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State, District of Columbia, or the territory of the United States where the images are read in addition to a current, active, valid, and unrestricted Alaska license, if the reading location is other than Alaska. If the contract service provider is located in Alaska and will read films in Alaska, an Alaska license only is sufficient. The Request for Proposal (RFP) number is W91YU0-08-R-0034. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website at www.fbo.gov on or about 25 November 2008. Prospective offerors shall download the solicitation and any other documents from the website.
