Description
The US Army Product Manager for Improvised Explosive Device Defeat/ProtectForce (PM IEDD/PF) under Program Executive Office (PEO) Ammunition is seeking potential sources of commercial high powered air blowers used for debris removal. These high powered air blowers will be used to support ongoing operations. Interested respondents should include detailed information in a white paper format on any current capabilities meeting the following minimum criteria. 1.) Respondent currently has the capability to produce a high powered air blowing system capable of producing wind speeds at or in excess of 175 MPH at a volume greater than or equal to10,000 cfm. 2.) Respondent must be capable of delivering at least 15 systems per month, with the first 15, to be delivered 30 days after a contract award. 3.) The system must have the capability of running on diesel or JP8 fuel. 4.) The system must have the capability of being operated remotely from the cab of a military tactical vehicle including the ability to direct air flow within a 180 degree radius, start and stop the engine and adjust the blower speed all from the remote unit. 5.) The system must be rugged, easily supportable and quickly/easily mountable to the front of a military tactical vehicle. 6.) The systems shall be covered under a 1 year warranty. 7.) Please include if applicable, any history or experience with supporting military systems of this type. Also include any information regarding known usage data and operating environments or other adverse operating conditions for any systems previously sold, particularly to US military customers if permissible. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
