Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Freightliner, Baltimore FLT-West, for the procurement of one (1) M2 112 conventional chassis, 2009 model. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c )(1), FAR 6.302-1. (2) (ii). Production of the M2 112 is only by Freightliner, and award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. Reference note 22. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to open the requirement to competition based on the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
