- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being requested as a Request for Quote (RFQ); solicitation number is H92244-09-T-0058, as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract with fixed unit prices. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-27, effective 17 October 2008. North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) 811111 applies to this procurement. This procurement is Unrestricted. The size standard is $7.0M. Schedule of Supplies/Services The following will be Government Furnished Material (GFM): 2003 Ford F550 Super duty chassis and cab with an Omaha General Service Body Utility Bed (Model# G108-60DW). CLIN 0001: Contractor shall replace the cab with a 9ft. Omaha General Service Utility Body will include the following features: 60" Cab-to-Axle measurement, Heavy Duty contoured Bulkhead with brake light, Rotary style latching Tailgate, Gooseneck hinged access with pop-up ball, Hitch Plate for a Ford Super duty with ICC Bumper, Multiple position Pintle Hitch mount, Combination Pintle Hitch with 2-5/16" ball. The contractor shall provide the following services: Recessed tie down eye-ring kits to be installed on each side evenly spaced on the body floor. Provide an air compressor system and up to two air tanks. Install an air switch in the cab in front of bench seat with low air pressure light and buzzer (60 psi). Provide a 7-way electrical connector for the trailer and a 7-way electrical connector for the Gooseneck Hitch. Coat the interior of the utility bed with a Line-X type coating including the inside of the tailgate and the coating to extend up the sides and over the top of the toolboxes and tailgate. Paint the utility bed to match the cab. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Price, past performance, delivery date, and technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement;. (b) Options. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). (c) A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
