This procurement is for the purchase of a plate reader for ongoing research activities to include a number of methods that rely on wave length based optical density reading. Specification of this product include: Multifunctional readers capable of capturing a full absorbance spectrum (200 - 850 nm) in less than 1 second per well, at a resolution of 1 nm. Full UV/VIS absorbance spectra in every well.No filters or monochromoters needed. New Xenon flash lamp. Higher stability, faster flash rate. Increases speed and sensitivity in all excitation modes. New robust chassis design eliminated optical misalignment issues. Four measurement modes: Absorbance, Luminescence, Fluorescence.Time- Resolved Fluorescence.Simultaneous dual emissions readings for fast FRET/BRET.Automatic optical head recognition and optics switching. New smart injectors' decrease time and increase accuracy. Inject a complete 96 well plate in less than 30 seconds. Can deliver 5-350 il in 0.5il increments, each well can have different Volumes on injection, up to 4 injections per well. External priming buttons for injectors. New Omega evaluation software- powerful and easy to use. Utilizing this plate reader is an important facet to the particular research study and crucial for providing definitive results toward new developments in patient care.
