- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make an award to a responsible quoter for the provision of Solid Waste Removal Services for the United States Penitentiary/Federal Prison Camp Big Sandy, located at 1197 Airport Road, Inez, Kentucky 41224. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the government. The estimated yearly contract requirements include: (1) rental fee for two 30 cubic yard self-contained compactors, (2) rental fee for one 30 cubic yard open-top roll off container, (3) pull fees for self-contained compactors at an estimated of 156 per year, (4) pull fee for open-top 30 cubic yard container unit at an estimated of 104 pulls per year and (5) extra pulls at an estimated 40 pulls per year. All services provided must be in accordance with applicable solid waste disposal codes and regulation. The solicitation will be made available on or about November 28, 2008, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 562111, with a small business size standard of $12.5 million. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about December 30, 2008; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered.
