- Description
- The Government has completed its Market Research, reference W15P7T-07-R-P020, and concluded that only Canberra-Dover (Nuclear Research Corporation (NRC)), 58 Richboynton Road, Dover NJ possesses the unique capabilities to continue to provide the the AN/UDR-13 Radiation, Detection, Indication and Computation (Radiac) Sets, NSN: 6665-01-407-1237. The Government intends to increase the ceiling of the Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the continued production of the AN/UDR-13 Radiac Sets by $10M. The AN/UDR -13 Radiac Set is the only tactical radiac set that is ruggedized, nuclear hardened, operates at extreme temperatures, has Electromagnetic Interference protection, secure lighting, and satisfies the criteria for chemical decontamination. This action is to support critical missions in Southwest Asia (SWA) in support of the Global War on Terror (GWOT). There will be no change to the existing period of performance which runs through June 2012. This acquisition will be accomplished through modification of contract W15P7T-07-D-P020. Contract W15P7T-07-D-P020 was awarded to Nuclear Research Corporation on 27 June 2007, on a competitive basis, however NRC/Canberra-Dover was the sole offeror pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source. This contract modification will be awarded on a sole source basis to Canberra-Dover pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 per J&A Control Number 09-025.
