- Description
- This is a SSA to identify potential sources that can provide the required flexible printed circuit assembly that is used in the Stabilator Amplifier. The Stabilator Amplifier is used in the Armys UH-60A/L Black Hawk Helicopters. The flexible printed circuit assembly is frequently replaced at Army depots when repairing the Stabilator Amplifier. 5998-01-124-5428 and 5998-01-533-2451 can be used interchangeably. Any sources interested in the proposed action must be able to demonstrate that they can provide a flexible printed circuit assembly that operates with the Stabilator Amplifier. Additionally, Airworthiness Release (AWR) is required before equipment can be used on Army aircraft. AWR involves environmental, electromagnetic interference, and flight testing. The Government possesses a Technical Data Package (TDP) for the most recently produced flexible circuit assembly, 5998-01-533-2451, that details the circuit layout and schematic, however, this TDP lacks detailed information on the composition and process instructions used with the polyimide compound associated with this item. Those composition and process instructions are proprietary to Cirexx International. The Government plans to award a five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract to meet its requirements for this item and the annual quantity of items to be acquired is approximately 500 units. This will potentially be the final acquisition of this item since it is planned that the Dual Stabilator Controller will replace the Stabilator Amplifier, in which case repairs of Stabilator Amplifiers will no longer be required. Interested sources must provide information to verify that their items have obtained the required AWR from the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, or details of when an AWR is anticipated to be received. Additionally, provide information on your production lead time, as well as the status of your production line. If you do not have an operational production line provide information on how long it would take to establish an operational production line. Sources capable of providing the required item are required to provide their written input to the U.S. Army CECOM LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AA, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. This SSA does not obligate the Government to award a contract. No telephone responses will be accepted, only responses in writing will be considered.
