- Description
- The Space and Naval warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) intends toissue a solicitation for the purchase, installation, integration, and siteacceptance testing of two (2) fixed Precision Approach Radars (PARs), includingtraining for operators and maintenance personnel. SSC Pacific intends tosolicitthis requirement under full and open competitive procedures and contemplatesthe award of a commercial firm-fixed price contract. The applicable NAICS forthis acquisition is 334511 with a size standard of 750 employees.The PARs will be installed at McGuire AFB, NJ no later than 31 Dec 2009, andWarner Robbins AFB, GA no later than 30 Sep 2010.A site visit for McGuire is planned for 16 December 2008, and a site visit forWarner Robbins is planned for 17 December 2008. Participation in this sitevisit is emphatically encouraged, as the purpose is for any potential offerorstodetermine any obstructions or site conditions that may impact the installationand placement of PARs, and to observe the control rooms where the operatorequipment must be integrated. Interested parties must contact the contractspecialist for details.SSC Pacific intends to release the solicitation on or around 11 December 2008.The anticipated close date of the solicitation is 15 January 2009. A draft ofthestatement of work is attached. Interested parties may also contact thecontractspecialist to request notification of issuance of the solicitation. Thesolicitation,and any subsequent amendments, resulting from this announcement will beavailable to interested parties via the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Website athttp://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil underSSC Pacific, Open Solicitations. The solicitation will only be availableelectronically at this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not beavailable.It is the responsibility of the interested parties to periodically monitorSPAWARE-Commerce page for updates and new listings.
