Description
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region has a requirement for construction services in Farmington, New Mexico. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Subpart 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation under full and open competition. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Proposal for this requirement. The work consists of constructing a new 1,248 square foot office building at Navajo Dam, New Mexico. The building shall be constructed with a concrete footer and stem wall foundation, concrete slab floor, wood framing, sheet rock interior walls, fiber cement siding, and metal roofing. It shall be constructed in accordance with the 2006 International Building Code and the 2004 National Electric Code. The estimated price range for this requirement is between $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. It is anticipated the contract will be a fixed, unit-price construction contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 with a Size Standard of $33.5 million. The work is located in San Juan County, approximately 40 miles east of Farmington, New Mexico. More information about Navajo Dam can be found at http://www.usbr.gov/dataweb/dams/nm00120.htm. A Bid Bond along with Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. There will be a site tour scheduled (date, time, and location will be provided in the solicitation). All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be available APPROXIMATELY 6 January 2009 at www.fedbizopps.gov (with drawings). Once logged into the fedbizopps web site, under "Quick Search," type in the solicitation number "09SP408269," with no dashes or quotes, and click on "Go."
