- Efforts include the following: Replace rubber J seals on bulkhead; replacement of downstream equalizing valve, stoke limiting valve and counterbalance valve, and all cover hardware and gasket. Remove, prepare for painting and paint manhold cover, and leaf recess cover. Reinstall leaf recess cover. Clean, prepare for painting, and paint bonnets. Clean, prepare for painting, inspect for and repair corrosion pits, and paint sluice gates, frames, air vents, and conduit liners. Rehab babbitt gate sill on sluice gates. Weld repair and machine the bottom sealing surface of sluice gates. Estimated cost range is $1M to $5M. All technical and engineering data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Business Opportunites site, fbo.gov. Issue date on or about 5 December 2008.
