Description

The primary mission of the Federal Emergency Management Agency is to reduce the loss of life and property and protect the Nation from all hazards, including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters, by leading and supporting the Nation in a risk-based, comprehensive emergency management system of preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation. The Logistics Management Directorate (LMD), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department Homeland Security (DHS) is the agency's program office responsible for logistics policy, guidance, standards, execution, and governance of logistics support, services and operations. At times of response operations the LMD is charged with providing logistics and material support across the response enterprise. The vast and varied skills sets required to execute the mission in a prompt and effective means is challenged by the limited number of the governmental workforce. FEMA anticipates the use of an Unrestriced Solicitation.
