- Description
- Military Sealift Command (MSC) intends to procure engineering technical services and systems development services on a sole source basis from Seaworthy Systems, Inc. of Centerbrook, Connecticut. Seaworthy currently provides same and similar services under contract N00033-03-D-8003, a CPFF type IDIQ task order contract. This contract provides services to the MSC Engineering Directorate in the areas of ship maintenance systems support, engineering and technical maintenance management support, and vessel inspection support. Seaworthy performs investigative and design efforts related to vessel material readiness, preventive and predictive maintenance, and condition monitoring programs. The current requirement is for an additional 21,000 labor hours to be added by contract modification to the current performance period and the next option period that ends August 31, 2009. This acquisition will be made on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information about the capabilities of other companies will be considered.
