Description
5 Dec 2008 Update - Agenda and Registration for 16 Dec 2008 FFS/AR Industry Day and 16-17 Dec 2008 One-on-One Vendor Meetings The Text below is posted as an attachement for ease of downloading, "FFS-AR Industry Day Official Notice_05 Dec 08". Future updates, if any will be posted to this site. Aeronautical Systems Center, Capabilities Integration Directorate (ASC/XR) in support of the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Aircraft Systems (AFPEO/AC) is hosting an Industry Day for the Fee-For-Service Aerial Refueling (FFS/AR) Pilot Program directed by the FY08 National Defense Authorization Act on 16 December 2008. The event will be held from 8:00AM until 12:00PM (EST) in Dayton, OH at Foulois Hall in Building 146, in Area B, on Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. This Industry Day is a market research tool to discuss the proposed Concept of Employment (CONEMP) for the Pilot Program as well as to determine the commercial availability and adequacy of potential sources, and will be used to determine the basis for any acquisition strategy. The Pilot Program shall be evaluated on its ability to support, augment or enhance the air refueling mission of the Air Force. The majority of the Air Force aerial refueling is accomplished utilizing a flying boom aerial refueling system; consequently, per the NDAA, boom aerial refueling will be the focus of this Industry Day and the Pilot Program. The Industry Day will begin at 0800 in Foulois Hall on 16 December 2008. The morning will consist of three presentations as follows; Air Mobility Command will brief the CONEMP, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will brief certification requirements, and ASC/XR will brief the current program strategy, including results from the previous Request For Information (RFI). Industry will be offered the opportunity for individual visits with the Government team during the afternoon of 16 December and all of 17 December. Three visits will be scheduled for the afternoon of 16 December and the remaining visits will be held on 17 December. These vendor visits will be limited to one hour and will be scheduled upon request with first responders receiving preference of schedule. The vendor visits will be held in Conference Room 172 of Building 28/Area B at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH (maps will be furnished upon request). Questions for the one-on-one vendor meeting should be submitted in writing at the meeting. The AF may not be able to answer all questions during the vendor meeting. General questions will be answered in an update to the FBO Industry Day site. Aerial refueling industry representatives interested in attending this event should contact Mr. John Doepker at (937) 656-5387 or John.Doepker@wpafb.af.mil no later than 10 December 2008. Each company will be limited to four participants (including any key partners). Request for a vendor visit must be made at the time of registration for the Industry Day. Mr. Doepker will compile an attendee list consisting of name, company, email address and phone number. This listing will be provided upon request to all attendees after Industry Day is completed. Tentative Agenda (16 December 2008): 0800 Check-in 0820 Welcome and Administrative Comments. 0830 AMC/CONEMPS 0930 FAA/Certification 1030 Break 1045 ASC/XR - Previous RFI Results and Program Strategy 1145 Vacate Facility
