Description
This synopsis is notification of the Agencys intent to extend contract DAKF10-01-C-0001, Operation, Maintenance and Support Services at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, GA for a period of (6) months, including 4 months and (2) 1-month option periods starting 01 February 2009 through 31 July 2009 to the incumbent contractor, Vosper Thorneycroft (VT), Griffin Services, Inc 10745 Westside Parkway Suite 300, Alpharetta, GA 30009. A competitive contract was awarded on 06 April 2001 for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) operation and maintenance installation support services with fourteen functional areas at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield: (1) Work Reception and Management; (2) Self-Help Equipment and Support Programs; (3) Maintenance and Repair of Facilities and Equipment; (4) Management and Maintenance of General Services Administration (GSA) and Maintenance and Service (M&S) Equipment; (5) Pest Control; (6) Grounds Maintenance; (7) Surface Areas; (8) Refuse Collection and Disposal; (9) Water Treatment and Distribution Systems; (10) Wastewater Collection and Treatment Systems; (11) Central Energy Plants; Steam, High-Temperature Hot-Water and Chill-Water Distribution Systems; (12) Gas Distribution Systems; (13) Electrical Distribution Systems; (14) Project Work. The extension will be performed under the same terms and conditions as the existing contract. The contract type is cost plus award fee. The extension will provide for continuation and uninterrupted services to the Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield installations during the Phase-In period, plus (2) 1-month option periods of the follow-on contract. This extension period is accomplished under the authority cited 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies and Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and is posted for 15 days. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this extension period would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract extension period based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
