Description
The United States Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB), or for Small Business Concerns as well as Large Businesses. The acquisition is for DRYDOCK repairs to the USCGC DALLAS (WHEC-716) and USCGC GALLATIN (WHEC-721) 378 FOOT HIGH ENDURANCE CUTTERS. The NAICS Code is 336611. The project for the two 378’ High Endurance Cutters (Dallas & Gallatin) will be issued as one solicitation and the Coast Guard may award one or two contracts as a result of the solicitation. The estimated procurement value is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Contractors will be allowed to submit quotes for one vessel or both vessels. This project is expected to have a geographic restriction but one has not been received. The geographic restriction is expected to be less then 500 nautical miles of the vessels homeport of Charleston, SC. Since the geographic restriction is not settled, contractors outside the assumed geographic restriction are encouraged to submit a reply. The performance period is expected to be about 4-5 months with a start date of 02 February 2009 or as close to that date as possible. A. The scope of the acquisition for the USCGC DALLAS (WHEC-716), 378 FOOT HIGH ENDURANCE CUTTER is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard.
