Description
This is a SSA to identify additional sources that can provide the J-3766A Interface VT, Audio which is part of the Army UH-60A-L Black Hawk communication system. There is a quantity of one J-3766A box per helicopter. It interfaces all five intercommunication set (ICS) panels and radios used on the helicopter. These five ICS panels provide intercommunication capabilities and integrate all radio transmission and reception control for the pilot and crew to enable effective communication and mission accomplishment. The Government is planning to award a Five Year IDIQ with an approximate procurement quantity of 90 units per year. The only current source for the J-3766A is Teledyne Technologies Inc., CAGE 22958. The current J-3766A box provided by Teledyne is identified by NSN 5831-01-114-9554, Teledyne PN 8904500. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of the J-3766A box are not available from the Army. Any sources interested in the proposed action must be able to demonstrate that they can provide form, fit, and function replacements to currently procured J-3766A box. Additionally, Airworthiness Release (AWR) is required before equipment can be used on Army aircraft. AWR involves environmental, electromagnetic interference, and flight testing. Interested sources must provide information to verify that their items have obtained the required AWR from the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, or details of when an AWR is anticipated to be received. Additionally, provide information on your production lead time, as well as the status of your production line. If you do not have an operational production line provide information on how long it would take to establish an operational production line. Sources capable of providing the required items are required to provide their written input to the U.S. Army CECOM LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AC, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. This information can be emailed to the Governments points of contact as follows: Man Moy at Man.Moy@us.army.mil and Wai Wong at Wai.K.Wong1@us.army.mil. This SSA is for informational purposes only and is not a Request for Proposals. The deadline for response to this notice is 24 December 2008. EMAIL: Man.Moy@us.army.mil and Wai.K.Wong1@us.army.mil
