- Sources Sought Synopsis - This is not a Notice of Solicitation. The Walla Walla District Corps of Engineers is issuing this notice to determine if there are an adequate number of interested small business concerns capable of providing Professional Service s to perform the requirement. The NAICS code is 332312 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The concern on small business is the turn around time when orders are placed based on complexity. Besides the below description, drawings can be provided upon email request to Clarence.a.miller@usace.army.mil. Businesses responding to this sources sought announcement may register their capability via email to clarence.a.miller@usace.army.mil. This announcement is based on the best information available and may be subject to future modification This announcement does not commit the Government to award of a contract. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not responsible for any costs incurred b y responding to this notice. Please be advised that all information submitted will be considered procurement sensitive. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is planning to award an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract base plus 4 option years as follows: Parts supplies made of stainless steel: 2 sets of fully assembled roller chains and upper cap roller tracks for the intake headgates at McNary Dam and for 6 sets of fully assembled roller chains for the intake headgates at Lower Monumental (1 set) and Lower Granite (5 sets) Dams. The roller chains will be assembled and delivered to each project as subassemblies of 25 sets of rollers, pins, links, and retaining rings. Contractor shall be able to fabricate and deliver the first 2 sets approximately 7 months after award with subsequent deliveries of 2 sets every 3 months. Additional task orders for roller chain at McNary could be awarded for approximately 6-8 sets of roller chain each year for 4 additional years. Each roller chain at McNary consists of 250 rollers, 250 roller shafts, 500 side bars and 500 retaining rings. Each roller chain is approximately 110 feel long and weighs approximately 4800 pounds. The upper caps are structural steel fabrications, painted with vinyl paint. Each roller chain at Lower Monumental and Lower Granite consists of 234 rollers, 234 roller shafts, 468 side bars and 468 retaining rings. Each roller chain is approximately 110 feel long and weighs approximately 4800 pounds. Manufacturing process for rollers, side bars and roller shafts includes but is not limited to cold rolling, heat treating and machining components to specifications. All retaining rings should be readily available as they are an off-the-shelf item. The rollers and chain links will require Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling machines to fabricate.
