- FOR INFORMATION ONLY. CONTRACT HAS BEEN AWARDED. 1.STATEMENT OF WORK: Request to the services of a Marine Type door manufacturer to manufacture two (2) Helo Hanger roll-up doors; and perform the installation, testing and delivery of the doors at a West Coast shipyard as follows: a.Provide labor, tools, and all material to replace the existing Helo Hanger roll-up doors (2 each), all associated railing components, all sealing material, and both electric motor drives (2 each) for the port and stbd side doors with new CFM units. b.All material is CFM. Material shall include items described below in Para. 2B(1), 2B(2), and 2B(3). c.The new doors will include all new SS Steel Slats fitted with all new end and roller wind locks mounted on a 50,000 cycle heavy duty spring barrel assembly, new hot galvanized steel bottom bar, new hot galvanized steel 3 angle guide tracks, new hot galvanized barrel mounting brackets, all new drive sprockets and chains, new side and bottom seals, new heavy duty stainless steel hood assembly with wind baffle, new heavy-duty electric motor operators with manual release. d.Perform all alignments to ensure easy continuous up and down movement of each door. e.Adjust the travel control to stop the door at the top, and the bottom correctly with no stress / strain on the slates. f.Test each drive for smooth and satisfactory operation, and proof door travel in both up and down directions to the Cheng and the Port Engineer. g.Each door shall be fitted with S. Steel nameplate to identify the door type /model, date of installation, manufacturer, specific parameters such as door opening dimensions, travel speed …etc. h.Provide an electronic report to Cheng and MSC Port Engineer. The report shall include a basic record of the door replacement, door type, model number, periodic maintenance and adjustment required. 2. ITEM LOCATION/DESCRIPTION/QUANTITY: ALocation: Helo Hanger, 1-146-1 & Helo Hanger 1-146-2 B.Description: (1) Hangar Bay Doors: Port PN: HH0833, Starboard PN: HH0834 (16’ 6 ¼” X 18’ 1”) 20 gage stainless steel slat curtain assembly with cast roller wind locks, 50,000 cycle HD galvanized steel spring barrel assembly, galvanized steel end brackets, 3 angle galvanized guides with weather seals, stainless steel bottom bar angles and starter slat, bottom astragal seal, 18 gage stainless steel heavy duty hood w/baffle seal. (2)Motor Operator Assembly: Vertical, 2 HP, Heavy duty inclusive of NEMA 4 Wall Mount Control Panel, No. 80 Heavy duty Gear Reducer and In-line Clutch with Auxiliary Manual Hand Crank inclusive of Crank Rod, Drive Sprocket and Chain Assembly. (3)Control Station: Electrical, Push Button Stations (one interior and one exterior). C.Quantity: 2 Each
