Description
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is conducting a market survey to seek potential sources from qualified small business firms under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 541613 ($7 million) which have the capability to assist in implementing health care marketing of patient safety products and tools for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Sources must have the capability to implement traditional product marketing methods, but especially in face-to-face and one-on-one site visits with the intent of changing behavior in clinical practice. The contractor must demonstrate experience in health care marketing. The contractor shall have the ability to reach out to health care providers by personal contacts. The contractor shall make one-on-one contacts with specified target audiences and follow-up site visits to highlight AHRQ's products, thereby influencing the adoption of improved patient safety practices. In the project’s implementation phase, field staff employed by the contractor would be expected to accomplish at least the following tasks: •Contact potential audiences by mail, telephone, or e-mail; •Arrange face-to-face meetings with appropriate personnel; •Travel to the potential audiences to present information on patient safety products with the intent of getting these products adopted and used to improve patient safety; •Provide technical assistance as necessary; and •Document successful implementation of AHRQ’s patient safety products. The following list of AHRQ patient safety products http://www.ahrq.gov/qual/errorsix.htm is intended to provide a core set of materials for implementation teams to use in outreach to health plan executives, officers of large health care organizations, and clinicians in group practices to encourage them to use the latest evidence-based resources and tools from AHRQ to change behavior among their staffs and ultimately among their constituents---consumers and patients. Interested small businesses should submit their capability statements (no more than 10 pages in length) to Gayle R. Sunde, Contracting Officer, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Division of Contracts Management, 540 Gaither Rd, Rockville, Maryland 20850, no later than 12:00 noon prevailing local time, on December 16, 2008. Capability statements should be tailored to this request and identify the source’s capabilities to complete this requirement, including information on key staff experience and a description of corporate experience with similar projects. Capability statements should be submitted in an original and two (2) copies. Hard copies only.
