Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Logistics Center has a requirement for the acquisition of four (4) VHF / AM Transmitters, NSN 5820-01-369-1352 (P/N 01-P37040N001, Product No. CM-200 VT), twenty seven (27) UHF / AM Transmitters, NSN 5820-01-369-1353 (P/N 01-P36980N001, Product No. CM200 UT) and twenty seven (27) UHF Receivers (P/N 01-P35300J200, Product No. CM-200 UR), from General Dynamics C4 Systems, Scottsdale, AZ. General Dynamics is the original manufacturer and only known source. The CM200 radio is a unique and proprietary General Dynamics air/ground radio qualified for use in the National Airspace System (NAS.) It provides for two-way communications between pilots and air traffic controllers in both en-route and local airspace environments. The FAA does not have specifications or drawings to permit competition. The contractor must have access to the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) specifications and drawings. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof-of-rights to use the data from the OEM. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Please include #08-60382 for any responses to this survey. Any questions must be submitted in writing and emailed to christopher.ekadis@faa.gov, prior to December 17, 2008. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. Any proprietary information should be so marked. This market survey shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these items. Responders to this market survey may be asked to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittal.
