- This is a sources sought notice to determine the availability of potential sources to satisfy the FAA's requirement for Maintenance, Support and Updates for a quantity of three Total Airport Airspace Modeler (TAAAM) Software Licenses. This is not a request for offer announcement. The North American Identification Classification System (NAICS) code will be 443120 Computer and Software Stores, Size Standard $7.5 million and 334611 Software Reproducing, Size Standard 500. Qualification under both NAICS codes is not required. Interested parties should address whether they can fulfill the requirements through a relevant contract for the requirement. If so, specify the contract number and determination of it's relevance to the requirement. The TAAM is an air traffic simulation model used for decision support, planning, design and analysis. The TAAM software is commercial software originally purchased under DTFA06-98-C-50047 from Preston Aviation Solutions, 3901 Roswell Road, Suite 207, Marietta, Georgia 30062. Preston Aviation Solutions has since been purchased by Boeing and their name has changed to Jeppesen. Jeppesen is the owner and developer of the software and has the source code, which allows them to perform the maintenance and develop enhancements. Under DTFA06-98-C-50047, Jeppesen developed the TAAM software product, and owns and controls the copyright an all other intellectual rights subsisting in TAAM. TAAM is primarily written in C++ with some Java components. It is built Solaris 9 and Rehat Enterprise 3 platforms, using the standard development tools of those platforms, and is complied with GCC (GNU compiler). This requirement is for the maintenance of this software. There is no Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) provided. The services required are: (1)Updates of TAAM (not including generation upgrades) upon commercial availability from the Contractor;(2)Telephone consultation, assistance, and advice from 9:00am through 5:00pm eastern standard time (EST) each business day.(3)"Released Notes", "Frequently Asked Questions" and other relevant information through the world wide web and the Contractor's Home Page;(4)FAA's participation in the worldwide TAAM Users Group including the US subgroup;(5)Corrections to errors reported to be in the then-current release of TAAM, as such corrections become available (not including correction or failure of hardware or other software not provided by the Contractor); and:(6)Periodic customer site visits. The services shall be provided on a fixed price basis for the period of one year, plus four-one year option periods. Award will be made to the technically acceptable offeror who is determined to be responsible and whose proposal conforms to all requirements of the SIR and offers the lowest evaluated price to the FAA. Based on the response to this market survey, the FAA will better be able to make a determination that this requirement be competed or acquired single source. Any party capable of satisfying this requirement is invited to respond. Interested parties should submit a capability statement that demonstrates the firm's ability to satisfy the requirements described above. Standard company brochures and literature are not considered an adequate response. Responses to this sources sought notice must contain the following information: a.A one-page capability statement demonstrating your ability to satisfy the requirements on 8 x 11 paper size and 12 point font summarizing your relevant prior work and including a brief description of your quality control processes. You should also include a corporate summary and provide your company's website.b.Identification of an appropriate contract vehicle available for use for this requirement, if available.c.Completion the attached business declaration form identifying your size status and NAICS. This notice does not commit the Government to award a contract based solely on the responses to this notice. This announcement is issued to determine available sources. There will be no SIR. This is not a SIR. The Government will not reimburse the costs associated with responding to this announcement.
