- Description
- The VA Network 22 Logistic Office intends to negotiate a sole source procurement in accordance with Far Part 13 with Abbott Laboratories under authority of Far 6.302-1. This procurement is for two The Abbott Molecular RealTime platform and instrumentation is the only real time PCR assay for detection of chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhea and HIV-1viral loads. The HIV-1 Assay is the only PCR based HIV-1 Viral Load FDA approved methodology that uses a non-competing internal control to validate assay performance and known to detect accurately ALL HIV subtypes. The system is unique because results are accurate for treating patients infected with HIV, HCV Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhea and it prevents false positive tests to patients. The Government will consider all quotes received by 12:00 PM, December 26, 2008. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
