Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and in accordance with procedures described in FAR part 13.1., as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number for this procurement is Wilms1 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. For informational purposes the North American Industry Classification System code is 333414 Unit Heaters. This acquisition will be completed under full and open competition. This is firm-fixed price procurement and will be procured using commercial item procedures and award selection will be made based on price. Description: The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, personnel and all other services required to provide the following heaters in support of US Forces located in Afghanistan: **BRAND NAME OR EQUAL: EQUAL MUST MEET BRAND NAME SPECIFICATIONS** IAW FAR 6.302-1(c) If you quote an equivalent model you MUST provide specifications on the model you are quoting to determine that it at least meets the minimum characteristics listed below. 52 EACH - 0001 - Indirect Fired Tent Heater, Wilms Heater BV 535, The Salient Characteristics that MUST be quoted on equivalent models are as follows: Approx 900 liter fuel tank, Portable, Room and high humidity thermostats, Quiet operations (Specified as maximum allowed noise of 77DBA), Heating capacity of 150KW/512,000BTU, Runs off JP8 Fuel, Approx fuel consumption 12.5 kg/hour, Air volume 11,000 cubic meters/hour minimum 200mm chimney All equivalent offers must meet or exceed these minimum requirements 1 Lump Sum - 0002 - Shipping & Handling Shipping Instructions: Please budget for shipping using DHL/FedEx. Shipping will be to Afghanistan. The specific address will be provided to the awardee at time of award. The following FAR provisions also apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; Quotes submitted shall contain the following information: Reference number, offeror’s name and contact information, terms of the expressed warranty, price, any discount terms and acknowledgement of all solicitation RFQ amendments (if applicable). Quotes shall also contain all other documentation specified herein: Period of Acceptance for Offerors - The offeror agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 90 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers, unless another time period is stated in an addendum to the solicitation. The following clauses are hereby incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders- Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Additional FAR clauses cited in the clause applicable to this acquisition are: (b) 5, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, and 31. FAR 52.252-2 Clauses Incorporated by Reference. Central Contractor Registration (52.204-7) Alternate A, 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items. Additional DFAR clauses cited in the clause applicable to this acquisition are: (a), (b) 20(i) & (iv), and 21 Electronic mail quotations will be accepted. NOTE: ALL OFFERORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) BEFORE BEING CONSIDERED FOR AWARD.
