- Description
- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 3, intends to issue a commercial item Request for Quotation (RFQ) to replace Audio-Visual technology in the Auditorium at the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge located in Prairie City, Iowa. This system is required to project a movie on three different sections that all must be synced and timed correctly. The work required includes the supply and installation of a system that will replace the current computer and 3 DVD player system with an updated control system, 3 control panels (2 remote), and a system to run the movie. The system will need to (1) start remotely from the lectern and from the visitor information desk; (2) operate the lighting system (lower when movie starts and back up when movie is over); and (3) open doors into the exhibit area when movie is finished. A computer interface plate at the lectern for laptop presentations is also required. The projectors for the system will replace 3 existing Proxima projectors (9290). Projectors will need long-throw lenses (screen is approximately 50 feet from the projectors). This is a 100% Set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 333315, with a corresponding small business size standard of 500 employees. The solicitation will be available approximately 12/19/2008, with quotations due on or about 01/15/2009. Hard copy solicitations will not be mailed unless specifically requested.
