- Description
- The VAMC Walla Walla, WA intends to award a sole source contract to Fujifilm Medical Systems USA, INC, 419 West Ave, Stamford, CT, to provide emergency and preventative maintenance, which includes travel, replacement parts, software updates and training on the Emerald Flex Assist I for 1 (one) year. The NAICS code for the procurement is 811219 "Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance" with a size standard of $7.0 in millions of dollars. The Government believes that only Fujifilm can provide the emergency and preventive maintenance on this piece of radiology equipment. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes however; any firm that believes that it can provide the maintenance, replacement parts, software upgrades and training that is 100% fully compatible with the existing Fujifilm equipment, may give written notification to the Contracting Officer, VAMC Walla Walla, 77 Wainwright Dr, Walla Walla, WA 99362., no later than 3:00 PM PDT, December 29, 2008. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the above listed address, to Jackie Merriman, Contracting Officer. Responses can also be e-mailed to jackie.merriman@va.gov or faxed to (509) 534-3473. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source award to Fujifilm Medical Systems USA, INC.
