Description
NAICS Code: 485111 This announcement is modified to clarify to the basis for the sole source procurement. The notice below replaces the notice issued on December 9, 2008.The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, a fixed price contract to the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority to acquire monthly rideshare passes for EPA employees in several Metro Atlanta Counties. The buses and/or vans will transport employees to and from designated areas to the US EPA, 61 Forsyth St., SW, Atlanta, GA. The period of performance will be from January 1 thru December 31, 2009. This acquisition meets the criteria for the Federal Employees Clean Air Incentives Act of 1993, and the Federal Workforce Transportation Executive Order (EO13150). The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR Part 6.302-5, Authorized or Required by Statute. This announcemnt is not a solicitation, quotes are not being requested and a solicitation will not be issued. To provide transportation services to employees in the Region 4 Office, firms must meet the requirements set forth in the FECIA and 26 U.S. C. 132 and qualify as a transit provided as described therin. Firms who believe they qualify as a transit provider may provide documentation showing how they meet these criteria. This documentation will be provided to the Regional Transit Coordinator for review and consideration. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
