- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for market research purposes. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking businesses who can provide parts for a Veeco Atomic Force Microscope (CD-AFM), Model Number SXM320, currently installed in the NIST Advanced Measurement Laboratory (AML). Parts required are flared tips for the SXM320. Only the following part numbers are acceptable: (1) CD-AFM Tip, Team Nanotec Part #SXM-CD130; (2) CD-AFM Tip, Team Nanotec Part #SXM-CD100; (3) CD-AFM Tip, Team Nanotec Part #SXM-CD120; (4) CD-AFM Tip, Team Nanotec Part #SXM-CD75; and (5) CD-AFM Tip, Team Nanotec Part #SXM-CD70. Currently, the only known manufacturer and distributor for these parts is Team Nanotec located in Germany, however, NIST is seeking additional sources. NIST is considering the award of a purchase order for a one year base period and four one year option periods for the purchase of tips identified above on an as-needed basis. Vendors shall identify their business size, (small, small-disadvantaged, hub-zone, large etc.) in accordance with North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334516 – Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing; the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees.
