Description

Provide landscaping services at the John F. Kennedy Jr. Federal Building, Boston, MA. The John F. Kennedy Federal Building is an office tower in Government Center, Boston, MA that requires landscaping services for an interior atrium and outside grounds that include 14,754 square feet of turf area, 17,035 square feet of flower and mulch beds and a 1,250 linear square foot outside irrigation system. In addition, the interior and exterior grounds include shrubs, trees, rosebushes, and miscellaneous plants. The services include: trimming, pruning, fertilizing, weed control, mulching, insect and disease control of shrubs and trees, removal of dead growth, raking of leaves, maintenance of flowerbeds, grass cutting, removal of grass cuttings, and yearly maintenance of the irrigation system at the John F. Kennedy Federal Building in Boston Massachusetts. The contract will be include a twelve (12) month base period with four (4) twelve (12) month options. The solicitation is open to both large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by GSA. GSA strongly encourages participation by small businesses and the related socio-economic categories of small disadvantaged, women-owned, service disabled veteran-owned and HUB Zone businesses. Small businesses that are capable of joint ventures are also strongly encouraged to submit an offer. The NAICS code is 561730 and the corresponding size standard is $7 M. The solicitation will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities website on or after January 6, 2009.
