Description

Notice of Intent to sole source: Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements”, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Federal Investigative Services Division (FISD) intends to issue a sole-source order for the alteration of space to change the intended use to an information technology test area and conference room. The lessor of the facility Iron Mountain has control over access to the facility and any changes to leased space that will in any way tie into Iron Mountain’s systems. OPM has determined that the work in question falls under Iron Mountain’s purview and as such a sole source is justified. Therefore, OPM deems it appropriate to award fixed-price agreement on other than a full and open competitive basis to Iron Mountain Inc. Iron Mountain is the available responsible source and no other source will be considered. The North American Standard Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for action is 238990 All Other Specialty Trade Contractors THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS, AN INVITATION FOR BIDS, OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. FURTHERMORE, IT DOES NOT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR COSTS INCURRED IN PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COASTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This is not a solicitation for offers, but rather a notice of OPM’s intent to negotiate a sole source award to Iron Mountain, Inc. This notice is for information only and my represent the only official notice.
