- THIS IS PROCUREMENT IS UNRESTRICTED. NAICS CODE 237990. Solicitation package is anticipated on 29-December-2008. Bid Opening Date anticipated 29 January-2009. The work consists of maintenance dredging portions of the Thimble Shoal Channel to a depth of 51 feet with 1 foot of allowable overdepth. The work shall be performed by hopper dredge method with placement of the dredged material into the Government-furnished Dam Neck Dredged Material Management Area. The Base Bid work involves dredging approximately 415,500 cubic yards of material including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion to March 2009. The Option Bid work involves dredging approximately 58,200 cubic yards of material including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion to March 2009 The successful Contractor shall begin performance within 15 calendar days and complete all work within 90 calendar days of receipt of Notice To Proceed (NTP). Magnitude of Job - $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 Liquidated Damages - $475.00 for each day of delay Three Option Items are anticipated, in addition to Dredging and Mobilization and Demobilization.
