Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. Request for Information: This Request for Information (RFI) is the initiation of market research under Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). The Government does not intend to pay for any information furnished pursuant to this RFI. NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane is requesting MARKET SURVEY information relative to product and technology development roadmaps, which includes future technologies research and development (R&D), demonstrations, production plans, and readiness level timelines for airborne, sea, and land-based military and homeland security applications in the following optics based areas: Infrared (IR) Thermal Imaging, Electro-Optic (EO) Imaging, Active Imaging, Spectral Imaging, Advanced Imaging Techniques, Laser Systems, Countermeasures, Human Systems Integration, and allied or enabling technologies. Information will be technically evaluated by the NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane and other Navy, DoD, and Government organizations for the purposes of market research and the development of technology roadmaps. Responses to this RFI that indicate the information therein is proprietary or represents confidential business sensitive information will be held in confidence for U.S. Government use only, and will be controlled via the appropriate distribution statement.
