- Requirements-type contract for meals, lodging, and transportation for applicants processing through the Memphis Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) during the base period of 1 April 2009 through 31 March 2010, with four one-year option periods. Services are for a supper meal, overnight lodging, breakfast the following morning, enmass transportation to the MEPS immediately after breakfast, and transportation for applicants receiving night testing. Transportation carrier must be DoD approved at the time the proposal is submitted, if the carrier is a non-organic hotel resource. Estimated number of applicants processed annually is 8,206. The average number of applicants processed daily is 32; however, the possibility exists for the daily number to reach 120. This contract will be awarded on a Best Value basis using the tradeoff source selection process. The appropriate NAICS code is 721110 with a size standard of $7,000,000.00. This acquisition is unrestricted; all responsible sources may submit a proposal(s). The solicitation will be posted on the MICC Center-Fort Knox homepage at: http://doc.knox.army.mil on or about December 17,2008 with proposals due on or about 20 January,2009. These dates are estimated and subject to change. All amendments to the solicitation will be likewise posted to this website. Paper copies of the solicitation or amendments will not be issued. Contractors are cautioned to check the website periodically. No solicitation mailing list will be compiled. Contractor is responsible for all costs of producing and mailing their proposal. Proposal must be written, submitted in accordance with the instructions on page 3 of the solicitation, and shipped to Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center Fort Knox, SFCA-SR-KN Bldg 1109B, Ste 250, 199 6th Ave, Fort Knox, KY 40121-5720. Package exterior must be marked with solicitation number (Block 5 of the solicitation) and the opening date (Block 8). Proposal will not be accepted by email or facsimile.
