- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Procurement Office: Mission & Installation Command Contracting Center, Fort Knox, Bldg 1109B, STE 250, 199 6th Avenue, Fort Knox, KY 40121 Response Date: January 8, 2009 The Mission & Installation Command Contracting Center (MICC) intends to award a fixed price purchase order under the provision of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.106-1(b)(1) to the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago, 2233 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Dr., Chicago, IL 60616. This order is for lodging and parking to enable the Chicago Recruiting Battalion to participate in the Chicago Auto Show 5-22 Feb 2009. The estimated value of the order is $84,340.00. Facility requirement includes up to 376 room nights (approximately 26 rooms per night) and onsite parking for approximately 15 vehicles per day. For security reasons, the facility must be located adjacent to the McCormick Place Convention Center, Chicago, IL to insure the safety of participants leaving late each evening. The facility must also comply with the given quality ratings of the Hotel and Motel fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. section 121-1 et seq (ADA). Market research has demonstrated that the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place is the single facility that can meet the governments requirement for the required dates. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any hotel who believes it is capable of meeting the MICCs requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which will be considered only if received by January 8, 2009 by 2pm EST. Responses to this posting must be in writing and submitted to mary.halterman@us.army.mil by 2pm local time, Fort Knox, Kentucky (EST) on January 8, 2009. A determination not to compete the proposed order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Please not that any prospective offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system at www.ccr.gov prior to award in accordance with FAR part 4.11.
