- 12/30/08: Amendment 1 to this Sources Sought/Market Survey was issued to correct the Response Date from January 1, 2009 to read January 12, 2009, all other information below remains unchanged. This Sources Sought/Market Survey is being issued to identify potential small, bondable and experienced businesses such as: (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB); (2) Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB); (3) 8(a) Contractors, (4) Hubzone Contractors (5) Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), (6) and/or Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB) that are capable of meeting the construction need for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System, Tucson Arizona. The construction need is relative to Project # 618-317, Expand OR Suite, Bldg 57, Tucson, AZ. The scope of the project is the Contractor shall provide all necessary supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment to construct a 6,100 SF addition to the second floor of Bldg. 57 to expand the existing Operating Room Suite. Construction shall also include remodeling an existing operating room as well as the mens and womens locker rooms. Work zone is at the entrance to an operational medical center so coordination to maintain full access for patients, visitors and staff is primary. Work shall include general construction, structural, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and sitework. Sitework includes relocating utilities, minor roadway modifications, walks, landscaping and site lighting. The project will be constructed in phases. The project magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million. The award of a firm fixed price construction contract is anticipated. Interested bondable small businesses having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to the sources sought/market survey. Responses must include the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address; (2) Business size determination and qualifying business status; (3) Bonding capacity; (4) Construction experience of similar project in size and scope; and (5) Sources Sought announcement number and specific project location. DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION PACKAGE. THE GOVERNMENT IS ONLY SEEKING INFORMATION FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES. THE GOVERNMENT MAY OR MAY NOT ISSUE SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS FOR THIS PROJECT.
