- USTRANSCOM TCAQ-S anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal on or about 14 Jan 09 for Advanced Automated IT Devices (AAD) for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). The contractor shall furnish, install, activate, and maintain tested and approved global positioning system (GPS) commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) advanced automated IT devices (AAD) and sensors. The tested and approved AAD/sensors shall demonstrate the required military utility and Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO) certification by the Navy Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren, VA Laboratory. The contractor shall maintain an inventory of 165 functioning AADs and 70 sensors. The contractor shall travel to up to three government facilities to install functioning AADs and sensors on government owned/program managed containers. The contractor shall provide AAD and sensor generated data elements u pon net activation and not less than 3 times per week for the duration of the test period. Anticipated Period of Performance is from 1 Apr 09 to 30 Sep 10. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency in accordance with the solicitation.
